Volunteer Opportunities

Fishnet Missions operates with an all - volunteer staff. No one gets a paycheck. If you live in the Fishnet area and would like to volunteer, here are a few opportunities:

• The Fishnet Thrift Store
• Hours: Monday - Saturday, 9 AM - 1 PM
• Needs: Sorting donations, sales floor help, cleaning, minor repairs to items.


• The Fishnet Food Pantry
• Sort and bag food - Tuesday and Thursday, 6 AM - 10 AM
• Food Distribution - Check Facebook page for times and days to pick up food.
• Receiving - Occasional, five days a week, on - call
• Cleaning - Mostly Tuesday and Thursday, 8 AM - 11 AM
• Clerical help with mailing and lists, Tuesday and Thursday 8 AM - 11 AM

Donations

Fishnet Missions welcomes both items for resale at our Thrift Store and donations of food for distribution and always money to keep the lights on. Please contact our office for information or just come by when the Thrift Store or Pantry are open. We also welcome donations from groups, so if your group is looking for a project, please consider Fishnet.

Fishnet Missions of Jacksonville, Inc. is an organization dedicated to providing food for the needy and less fortunate people wherever they can be reached. It is a faith-based organization made up entirely of volunteer workers who work to collect the food and then prepare it for distribution. There are no paid workers at any level. Fishnet Missions is a 501(C)3 corporation and all contributions are tax deductible. One hundred per cent of your financial donation is used for operating expenses. Please consider donating to the operation of Fishnet Missions in person, by mail, or through our PayPal Account.
